wanna sleep for weeks like a dog at her feet

The Guardian searches for "books that move men." (via)

Troopers seize "$89,000 in cash, 5 ounces of cocaine, six handguns, two rifles, scales, drug packaging equipment, cell phones and a computer," along with 42 pounds of grass during one of western Alaska's largest drug busts. I'm not too sure what they mean by "drug packing equipment," though. Ziplock sandwich bags?

Recently received issue #3 of the Mike McGonigal's Yeti, a collection of no-brow art/music writing, comics, photos and manifestos. This one's got, among other things, interviews with Neko Case, Naomi Yang and William S. Burroughs, an essay by Henry Flynt on C.C. Hennix's "Electric Harpsichord," an essay on "anonymous crime scene reporting in African-American Los Angeles in the 1940's" and a 27 track CD with songs from the likes of Washington Phillips, Jolie Holland, Devendra Banhart, Henry Flynt, Birdbrain, Iron and Wine, Blues Goblins, Steffen Basho-Junghans and more. Highly recommended.

Recent heavy rotation:

Moondog--The Viking of Sixth Avenue
Man Man--Six Demon Bag
SJBB3P
Deerhoof-The Runner's Four
